In 1899 David and Jenny Curry opened a tented camp so that visitors could enjoy the beauty of Yosemite for a modest price. They advertised “a good bed and clean napkin with every meal” for just $2 a day.

The camp sits in an ideal wooded area in Yosemite Valley directly beneath Glacier Point and next to the Merced River with stunning views of Half Dome. Mirror Lake is a short walk from the camp as is Yosemite Falls.

3 Day Yosemite Tour and Tent Cabin - Tour Itinerary:

Events for Day Tour One

6:00 - 7:00 AM - Pick-up in downtown San Francisco or Fisherman's Wharf Area.

7:00 - 8:00 AM - Pick-up in the East Bay.

9:00 - 10:00 AM - Drive through the San Joaquin valley, and stop for a break and a snack on the way to Yosemite.

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Drive through gold country and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park.

12:00 - 6:00 PM - On your Yosemite tour, enjoy the amazing views of the valley, El Capitan, Half Dome, and the Yosemite Falls. Enjoy a hike to one of the park's waterfalls or lakes, or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants, and the Ansel Adams Gallery.

6:30 PM - Check into your accommodation, have dinner, relax & look forward to an exciting next day in Yosemite.

Events for Day Tour Two

This day is intended for you to explore the park on your own and gives you the flexibility to relax and enjoy the park in your own personal way.

Events for Day Tour Three

8:00 - 9:00 AM - Check out of your accommodation.

10:30 AM - Arrive at Yosemite National Park.

10:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Enjoy day three of your Yosemite Tour by selecting a hike, bike riding in the Yosemite Valley, or purchasing an additional tour in Yosemite.

1:30 - 3:30 PM - Meet the group to load the vehicle and drive down the Sierra Nevadas descending over 2000 ft and passing through Stanislaus National Forest.

3:30 - 5:30 PM - Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west.

5:30 - 6:00 PM - Stop for a break and a bite to eat.

6:00 - 8:00 PM - Drive back to San Francisco enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, the Peninsula and the city lights.

8:00 - 8:30 PM - The Yosemite tour ends at your pickup location in San Francisco or the East Bay.
